Mike holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Northeastern University. He is a registered professional engineer in MA, CA, WA, LA, and OR. He conducts inspections of all types of drydocks and analyzes structural capacity by preparing structural and stability calculations regarding ship dockings and drydock design. He is knowledgeable in NAVSEA Ch. 997, MIL-STD-1625D, MIL-HDBK-1026 and proficient in AutoCAD, FEMAP, SAP 2000 & GHS Hydrostatics, which he successfully utilizes to analyze the strength and stability of floating drydocks and caisson gates.
