Premal holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He is a registered professional engineer in MA, CT, ME, MS, VA and Nova Scotia. He provides high level management on various projects as well as consultancy on shipyard planning, feasibility studies, vessel drydockings, and transfer-launch evolutions. Premal is the designer-of-record on many HEGER designs of drydocks and caisson gates. He’s well versed in the requirements of SFLC Std. Spec. 8634, NSTM Ch. 997, MIL-STD-1625D, and various UFCs.
