In 2007, HEGER designed an elevated track to be placed on the pontoon deck of VIGOR’s Floating Dock No. 5 in Portland, OR, using existing steel towers. The track is used for transfer and launch of newly constructed vessels from shore and for transfer of vessels undergoing long term repair to shore. HEGER analyzed the existing floating dock structure’s capability to support the transfer loads. We developed a pumping plan for use during the transfer.
